Today marked 6 months of my life. In celebration mom took a lot of pictures of me dressed in different outfits. I thought there would be cake, but that never appeared. Although I went to my friend Amelia’s first birthday party this past weekend, and she had cake, so I know it will be coming soon! The week before I went to my first costume party- it was Becki’s birthday. Becki is mom’s friend who watches me sometimes. One time I pooped on her, and spit up on her husband, Scott. It’s just because I like them so much. The party was fun- I’ve been making my lion noises a lot lately, so I thought dad would get the hint that I wanted to be a lion for Halloween, but instead he came home with a cow costume. Oh well, everyone said I was the cutest little cow they have ever seen. It’s true. I even rolled around and ate some straw to make it look more authentic.
I feel like I’m figuring out how to do a lot of things- I’m so over sitting now. It’s all about standing. Also I can make lots of different noises and grab for things that I want. Sometimes auntie forgets that I’m only 6 months old. The other day she threw a (soft) toy to me, thinking I would catch it. It bounced off my belly and I gave her a “really?” look.
Mom’s been reading a book about how to get me to sleep through the night. I don’t know why, I was under the impression she thought it was cute when I would cry in the mornings and then lay in bed with her and give her smiles before she got up for work. So now everyone insists I follow this crazy smiley face schedule during the day. Since today was our first day, I decided to be really good and stick to the schedule to the minute. Tomorrow I think I might have some fun with it.
